CCNA Training Bootcamp and Certification Courses

CCNA stands for Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). This credential is granted to individuals who have successfully completed CISCO CCNA courses and passed a comprehensive exam that tests their ability to install, troubleshoot, configure and operate wireless, router and switched networks. CCNA certification training programs are designed to help candidates prepare for the examination by teaching core principles and skills in wireless networking concepts, security threats, internet protocols, Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Ethernet, access control lists (ACLs) and other important fundamentals of working as a CISCO networking engineer.

All of these principles are taught in the formal CISCO CCNA course and training programs offered by CISCO, and the curriculum is available in both online and offline formats.

Components of the CISCO CCNA Certification Exam

The exam tests students on networking fundamentals, routing protocols, LAN switching, wireless networking and accessing the WAN. These are all challenging areas that require advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as experience in performing various networking tasks and troubleshooting computer-based problems. The CISCO CCNA certification exam is a relatively comprehensive test, but many CCNA courses are taught as part of the educational track for computer science majors at colleges and universities.

Students who want to enhance their skills in this area, or those who need a refresher on core principles, can take a training course or independent study course as a supplement to their education. CCNA certification training courses are available in a variety of formats including: CCNA boot camp; CCNA certification online; and CCNA training workshops and seminars.

Successful completion of these specialized certification programs can increase skills and confidence in taking the CISCO CCNA exam, and provides students with in-depth knowledge and skills they need to compete in the competitive IT career marketplace.

CCNA boot camp training provides an accelerated learning opportunity where you can complete your entire exam preparation within 7 to 14 days. Most boot camp training programs take place in an offline format at a state-of-the-art computer facility equipped with personal workstations, supplies and audiovisual equipment. You will learn all of the key principles of CISCO networking and network management from certified and experienced instructors, and you can take sample tests and quizzes as you learn, so you can identify your strengths and weaknesses.

Some CCNA boot camp training facilities also offer overnight accommodations, and on-site testing of the actual exam.

This training is ideal for working professionals or busy students who are comfortable with an accelerated learning platform, and want to obtain their certification in as short time as possible.

What to Expect with CCNA Boot Camp and Training

Boot camp training programs are designed to be completed in a very short period of time, and are most suitable for people who are comfortable with undertaking a highly structured, intensive learning format.

Conventional training programs may consist of self-study courses or an instructor-led format in a classroom. These programs provide students with course materials, access to video lectures, mock questions and exams, and group instruction or discussion opportunities. Some programs also include hands-on labs and practical training segments where students can apply the skills they have learned and be evaluated on various projects.

CISCO CCNA courses 1 through 4 available through the CISCO Academy are equivalent to 280 hours of instruction, and are designed to provide the basic knowledge and skills about CISCO networking. These first four courses are essential for taking and passing the CCNA examination.
